Nimblewill is an invasive, fine-textured grass that is aggressive and wiry. As it grows and spreads it forms dense mats, crowding out the turf around it.
Wiregrass spreads like a vine and becomes so heavily matted into the soil that it essentially forms its own turf. It is aggressive enough to grow through almost anything, and once it is established it is extremely difficult to remove. Homeowners who have dealt with it tend to call it the worst weed grass they have had in their lawns and gardens.
